It is with gratitude that we work with your children every single day at Holy Savior Catholic School. They are amazing kids. I’m always impressed by the way they care for each other and the respect they show others. There is something special about our school. And a big part of that is your children. I am writing to you today to invite you to consider re-enrolling your child(ren) at Holy Savior for the 2018-2019 academic year.
At Holy Savior Catholic School, we strive to offer a broad, expansive, vision of education rooted in the dignity of the human person as a being in relation to the created world, other human beings, and God. We believe that the value of a Catholic education is that it is Personal, Relational, Inclusive, Missionary, and Excellent (P.R.I.M.E.). Next year, we plan to continue our collaboration with St. Dominic Academy and to further develop an integrated curriculum that combines 21st-century technology with traditional educational models. Throughout the year, students in grades K-8 will use technology in a blended learning environment by a collaborative team of staff supervised by our Lead Teacher Michelle Ladd. Our goal remains the same, to help every student to recognize their God-given gifts and to fulfill their unique mission to serve others and transform the world.
Holy Savior Catholic School is committed to offering an affordable education; therefore, we’ve decided to keep the K-8 tuition rate of $2950 per student or $7400 per family for the 2018-2019 academic year. The actual cost of educating a student is much higher than the tuition rate. We are able to offer this affordable tuition rate because of the commitment of Holy Savior Parish, the dedication of the Holy Savior School Board, the generosity of our benefactors, and the hard work of our PTO and parents.
We will be reinstituting a $100 non-refundable registration fee that will help cover the cost of the RENWEB and FACTS student/parent services. We are asking that all families register their students through FACTS.
This past year, we were blessed with a strong pre-K enrollment. We’ve spent a lot of time evaluating our pre-K program and have decided to make a few changes that we believe will help us to do a better job preparing students for kindergarten. Therefore, for the 2018-2019 academic year, we are increasing the tuition to $30/day. For pre-K age 4+, we’ll be enrolling for a Five-day program. Pre-K age 3, will have two options, either a Three-day Monday-Wednesday-Friday or a Two-day Tuesday-Thursday program. Students will be enrolled via a waiting list, and classrooms and staffing will be determined based on enrollment. We also ask that students be evaluated for pre-K and Kindergarten.
Take Care and God Bless,
Fr. Nathan March

Driven by our love for Jesus Christ and a passion to make Him known, Holy Savior Catholic School aspires to transform our community by means of offering a Catholic primary education to young people who desire “something more”. To do this we strive to hand on “the Art of Living.” Our aim is human flourishing, and so we offer an integral education that goes beyond test-scores and seeks to developed whole human beings: body, mind, soul, and heart. At Holy Savior Catholic School, we believe the glory of God is man fully alive and that Christ is the vision of man. We desire our students to know Jesus that they might experience what it means to be truly human, completely free, and fully alive.
Recently, Holy Savior Catholic School has been working in collaboration with St. Dominic Academy in Lewiston/Auburn to develop an innovative solution to the challenges faced by Catholic rural education in Maine that offers viability and sustainability. Together we've been developing a program of blended learning with integrated project-based experiential field studies that invite community collaboration. Our hope is that our work will help schools and parishes throughout the Diocese to soon offer faith-based education to individual students and, by extension, improve and revive the quality of their local communities. We hope to change the story of Catholic education in Maine.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been working with so many people who are passionate about the faith and education of children. Changing the narrative of Catholic education in rural Maine is possible with the help of collaboration. If you are interested in being part of this exciting opportunity there are many ways you can help us, including praying for us, volunteering at the school or at fundraising events, or supporting us financially. Holy Savior Catholic School is also currently seeking individuals, entities, and corporations to become legacy donors, sponsors, and supporters through in-kind donations or financial gifts.
